Since EVs are awarded to any Pokémon that took part in a fight the use of an Exp. Share increases the EVs of any Pokémon who isn't maxed holding when KO-ing a Pokémon. They can obtained via crafting.

EVs are awarded upon KO-ing a Pokémon. The EVs awarded vary from 1-3 of a certain stat based on the species EV yield, This can be added on by the respective "Power Items".
