The EV Training area at "/warp evs"

In Aetheria, there are two main ways to increase your Pokémon's EVs (Effort Values). The first is as you would in any mainstream Pokémon game: KO-ing wild Pokémon with the correct EV yield, while the second is by battling the dedicated EV Trainers at "/warp evs". It should be noted that EV Trainers can only be battled by one player at a time. Please be patient and respectful when another player is battling a Trainer you need.

EVs are awarded upon KO-ing a Pokémon. This varies from 1-3 of a certain stat based on the species EV yield. This can be increased by the respective "Power Item".

Each Pokémon can have a maximum of 510 EVs, with each stat capping at 252. Most competitively built Pokémon will have two main stats maxed out, with the final 6 EVs remaining put into a different stat. Note that there are some exceptions to this strategy.

Example:

EV Items

There are serval items that increase a Pokémon's EVs.

Vitamins:

Vitamins are an expensive but quick way to increase a Pokémon's EVs. When fed to a Pokémon, a Vitamin increases the specified stat by 10 points. These can be bought from the Pokémart for 980 each or obtained via crafting.

All Vitamins require a Medicinal Brew in their crafting recipe. Protein can be crafted with any raw meat (beef, pork, mutton, chicken, rabbit), while Zinc can be made with any raw fish (salmon, cod, clownfish).

Exp. Share:

EVs can be passed to a Pokémon through an Exp. Share. This can be useful for EV training weaker Pokémon as they do not need to take part in any battles. Exp. Shares can be crafted or obtained from the Cobble Crate.

Exp. Share Recipe:
Note: Exp. Share has to be held by the Pokémon.

Power Items:

Power Items increase the EVs earned when KO-ing a Pokémon by an additional +8, regardless of the Pokémon's EV yield. They can be bought from the Pokémart for 10,000 each or obtained via crafting.

Reducing EVs

Specific berries are the only way to reduce a Pokémon's EVs. They can be bought from the Pokémart for 1,000 each or obtained through cross-breeding other berries. Each reduces their respective stat by 10, while also increasing the Pokémon's friendship by 2-5. This can be useful for evolving certain Pokémon through friendship.
