Breeding

Aetheria's breeding system is based on how breeding work in the main Pokémon games. Yet there are some important differences.

To begin type "/pokebreed" to open the breeding GUI. Pokémon produced are placed directly in the player's party or PC and do not need to be hatched. The breeding cooldown is 10 minutes.

To breed two Pokémon together make sure that you are breed two of the opposite gender, or one of either gender with a ditto. If you aren't using a ditto, make sure that the two Pokémon you are breeding are of the same Egg Group. You can breed most genderless Pokémon with a ditto (excluding: Legendaries, "Baby Pokémon", Galarian Fossil)

To be noted unlike the games there is no way to boost your odds when breeding for shiny Pokémon. (Note breeding a shiny with another Pokémon doesn't increase the odds). The odds of a shiny through breeding will always be the same as the base odds, you can check the odds using the command "/pokeodds".

Albino's can't be bred as well as can't be obtained from breeding.

Breeding Regional Pokémon

To breed a regional Pokémon you need to have the regional Pokémon you want to breed to be holding an Everstone. (Only one parent has to be holding the Everstone to pass down the regional form, note that breeding two regional forms together still requires one to hold an Everstone.)

Example:

Passing Down Nature

Natures are passed down when the one or both parents are holding an Everstone (This also goes with the effects that is has on Regional species). If both are holding an Everstone the Nature is randomized between the two of them with a ratio of (50/50).

IV Breeding Guide

Destiny Knot:

First thing you need to know on how to breed good IV Pokémon is how a Destiny Knot work. You can obtain them by either buying them or crafting them.

Crafting Recipe:

When breeding Pokémon normally with no items the only 3 of the stats are past down from both parents and the other 3 stats are randomized.

Example:

(For this example the "Xs" and stats that weren't past down to the child and were randomized)

When Breeding with a Destiny Knot it passes down 5 stats from both parents instead. This doesn't stack so the max stats that can be passed down is 5, 1 stats will always be randomized.

Example:

(As you see the attack is the only random stat due to it not coming from either parent)
